Join us for a collage workshop led by Porchlight's team member, Nolan.
In this beginner-friendly class, you'll create your own custom collage piece using a curated mix of patterned papers, ephemera, and found imagery. Part of the session will be guided, drawing on creative techniques inspired by cartoonist and author Lynda Barry, known for her playful, intuitive approach to image-making and creative flow.
Whether you're working with your own materials or ours, you'll have a thoughtfully curated selection of papers and imagery to design something that's uniquely yours.
No experience needed — just a little curiosity and a love of making.
You'll explore colour and composition, experiment with layering and texture, and leave with a finished piece that's as fun to make as it is to display.
What you'll walk away with:
All materials are provided, including a curated selection of patterned papers, cardstock, ephemera, adhesives, and embellishments, along with light refreshments and snacks.
Throughout the workshop, you'll receive guidance on layout, composition, and finishing techniques, with plenty of room to make something that reflects your aesthetic.

Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the workshop start time will receive full store credit. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
Porchlight Press reserves the right to cancel a class for any reason. You will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a choice of a full refund or store credit.
Credits:
Credits are issued in the form of a gift certificate, it can go towards a future workshop, stationaries from our in house line or a custom print job with us. Credits must be used within one year from the date of the cancelled class.
