Fabric Postcard Workshop | September 30, 2026
This hands-on workshop where quilting techniques meet small-scale art-making. Using fabric scraps and simple machine or hand-stitching, you'll build a one-of-a-kind postcard-sized piece—sturdy enough to mail, beautiful enough to frame.
Your Instructor
Dianne Semark is a Vancouver-based creative director with over two decades of experience shaping brands in tech, retail, and corporate sectors, alongside a longstanding connection with the Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild. She brings a designer's eye for colour, composition, and pattern to the quilting arts, and loves helping makers of all skill levels find their own visual voice in fabric.
About the Class
In this workshop, Dianne will walk you through the fundamentals of fabric postcard construction: layering and sewing fabric scraps, incorporating hand-sewing or machine sewing for texture and structure, and finishing so your piece is ready to send through the mail (postage and all). Along the way, she'll share tips on composition and colour pairing drawn from her design background, so your postcard feels intentional, not accidental. No quilting experience required — just a willingness to play with fabric.
You'll Leave With- 1–2 completed fabric postcards, ready to mail or frame
